School Day

Please find a generic overview of our school timetable across the key stages, which equates to 32.5 hours per week.

At Hallbrook, we have taken the decision to break our school day up into smaller periods of time. To do this, we have introduced an afternoon break as we think it is important that children have time to move and play during their time in primary school. There is also research to show that this time improves the quality of learning and attainment academically too.

EYFS follow the same school day timings but, as most of their learning is through play within the provision, they do not stop for break times in the morning and the afternoon. Following the EYFS framework about supervised eating for children under 5, they also stop in the morning for a snack break in the morning.
