National Roast Dinner Day
Taking place on Wednesday 14 November, Food for Life's Roast Dinner Day is a national day for schools to open their doors to parents, grandparents and members of their local community to enjoy a delicious roast dinner together.
We celebrated National Roast Dinner Day by inviting residents from Sutton in the Elms Care Home to join our pupils for a delicious roast turkey dinner.
Our special guests were entertained by pianists as they ate, and then our KS2 choir performed a number of songs over tea and coffee. Our Foundation Stage children even performed an impromptu rendition of 'head shoulders knees and toes'!
We look forward to furthering our intergenerational links with residents from Sutton in the Elms Care Home later this month during our Winter Activities Morning and next month when we welcome them for Christmas dinner.
